Het is weer Berry Big Deal tijd! Het is me gelukt om er iets interessants van te maken. Om eerlijk te zijn, toen mijn oog op het BBD kleurschema van deze maand viel, wist ik in eerste instantie niet wat ik ermee wilde maken. Hoewel ik de kleuren erg mooi vond, voelde ik er geen klik mee in de zin van een thema. Vaak als dingen me niet helemaal duidelijk zijn, komt mijn uitstelgedrag weer naar boven… Daarom voelde het thema – uitstelgedrag – zo toepasselijk voor deze collectie.
Hoewel sommigen van ons er meer last van zullen hebben dan anderen, denk ik dat we allemaal bekend zijn met het probleem. Dit thema kan een nuttig (zelf)reflectiemiddel zijn voor bijvoorbeeld een digitaal artjournal project, maar je kunt het ook gebruiken om leuke- of serieuzere layouts mee te maken die gaan over het gedrag van je tieners, of je echtgenoot, of wie dan ook…

It’s Berry Big Deal time again! I managed to make something interesting out of it. To be honest, when my eyes caught this month’s BBD color scheme, I didn’t initially know what I wanted to make with it. Even though I really liked the colors, I didn’t felt a click – in terms of a theme – with it. Often when things are not quite clear to me, my procrastination habit pops up again… That’s why the theme of procrastination felt so appropriate for this collection.
Although some of us will be more affected by it than others, I think we are all familiar with the problem. This theme can be a helpful (self) reflection tool for a digital art journal project – for example, but you can also use it to create fun- or more serious layouts that deal with the behavior of your teenagers, or your spouse, or anyone else…
