How are you?

The design profession consists mostly of broadcasting. I was educated as a graphic designer and had to learn the essentials about marketing strategies to get my degree. I loved designing, but I had not much with marketing…

I hope you don’t see my SPPP newsletters as a lousy marketing strategy. In fact, I love the idea of making them more like moments of reflection in which I briefly take you, as a reader, through the genesis of my products during a busy, hectic week. Sometimes I will do this more extensively than other times.

This month, I am creating a collection (C2) that is about the different faces of LOVE. This week’s Scrapbook Basics – mini kit is themed “King of Hearts”. I first wanted to call it the “Queen of Hearts” but I have used te word queen in my product titles so many times that in consideration of my upcoming Words of Faith – Food for the heart mini kit – King may be more appropriate. Since the basic kit contains no words this choice has no impact at all on the content. You are free to give it your own spin!

My layout is a bit heavy, but while making it, it did provide a massive inspiration for the rest of my collection (in the making) for this month. About my design process I’ll tell you another time…

Returning briefly to line “How are you?” above the introduction… Only broadcasting is not everything, I also really enjoy receiving. So when you do post your work, please also post them in the SPPP gallery at Pickleberrypop so I can see them an appreciate them as well.
